Vi fick i uppgift att skriva ett kort tal till Engelskan, då det skrevs i samband med att jag betalade mina räkningar kändes det naturligt att skriva om en av mina favoritindivider.

Today I’d like to talk about one of my favorite capitalist douche-bags. His name is Bo Göransson, and in 2009 he had an estimated fortune of 1,4 billion Swedish crowns thus making him the 78th richest person in Sweden. One could only assume that his fortune has grown sizeably since 2009 considering the nature of his business.

Bo Göransson is a man that has made his fortune of what i would like to call legalized-extortion, he is the majority owner of a financial company called Intrum Justitia. If you've ever forgot or couldn't afford to pay your bill’s chances are high that you've ran into his company. You see, Intrum Justita business model is very simple. They buy overdue bills from different companies that don't want to spend money on administrative fees just to chase penny’s and dimes. They then add different fees to these bills, in Swedish they call it inkassoarvoden and administrationsavgift, avgift för pappersfaktura and so on and so forth. More often than not these fees effectively doubles the size of the original bill. They then of course add very high interest-rates to these by now oversized bills.

This is a business model that share many similarities to that of for example the Cosa-Nostra or Hells-Angels. The interesting part of this is that unlike criminal gangs Intrum Justitia really doesn't put any effort into collecting any of their debts. This job is something that they left to Kronofogdemyndigheten, an institution ran by tax-payers money who's primary purpose has been reduced to collecting debts for different debt-firms such as Intrum Justia. In short you could make the argument that what Bo Göransson and Intrum Justitia has done is taken a criminal model of extortion against the weak and defenseless. Made it more efficient and legal by not actually lending any money, thus not taking any financial risk, and legal by outsourcing the collection of debts by a state-run and state-financed authority. It's no wonder that the police are reporting that criminal gangs such as the Hells-angels are actually starting their own legal debt-firms.

Hence, id like to take this opportunity to congratulate our dear Bo for his ingenuity and to his newly purchased 170 foot luxury yacht, (the largest boat registered in Swedish waters), paid for by the poorest and most defenseless people in this country."
